THE STORAGE LOCKER STORY
The Storage Locker is a well-known family-owned and operated business with deep roots in the community. For more than 50 years, the property has remained in the Rappaport family. The late Paul Rappaport felt passionate about serving the community and ensuring the community remained safe. In 1972, Paul and his father gave back to the community by donating two acres of land to the Jessup Volunteer Fire Department. Adjacent to the storage facility, Company 29 remains an active firehouse serving the community to this day.
In 1988, Paul built the storage facility and later expanded it in 1992. Since Paul’s passing in 2006, the facility has remained in the family and is now owned and operated by daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Rick OShea.
Paul and his wife Margy were prominent figures in Howard County. Paul retired from the MD State Police as Major, commanding the Criminal Investigation Division, to become the Chief of Police of Howard County. He later turned to a career in private practice law. Margy served in the elected position of Howard County’s Clerk of the Circuit Court for 20 years.
Our goals are to continue operating The Storage Locker with the same integrity and passion. The cleanliness, safety, and affordability of our family-owned and operated facility remains uninterrupted. We value your business and will deliver the customer service our community and neighbors deserve.
